Normality Assessment of Several Quantitative Data Transformation Procedures

چکیده

Usually, quantitative data standardization and/or normalization procedures requested in biological and as well biomedical analysis with the purpose to infer about linear regression relationship between processed variables conditions. Here, we embarked understand performance of transformation systems terms reducing variability assessing distribution normality by a computational statistic approach. For this purpose, performed several multivariate descriptive analytical statistical tests. Even if results shown drastic reduction applying presently procedures, it is noteworthy underline relative opposite attitude Exponential (Expo) system that sense. In addition although, revealed variance homogeneity for both Maximum Logarithm methods, regard submitted Box-Cox, Z-score, Minimum-Maximum Square Root methods. Further, findings exhibited high aptitude Root, Box-Cox stabilizing variability. Interestingly, performances term adjusting normal distribution. addition, multiple comparison mean Turkey contrast test suggested method. conclusion, even our heterogenic methods

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

compactifications and representations of transformation semigroups

this thesis deals essentially (but not from all aspects) with the extension of the notion of semigroup compactification and the construction of a general theory of semitopological nonaffine (affine) transformation semigroup compactifications. it determines those compactification which are universal with respect to some algebric or topological properties. as an application of the theory, it is i...

Local Asymptotic Normality of Ranks and Covariates in Transformation Models

In this paper we exhibit an important but rather complicated example to which the Le Cam-Yang methods may, after some work, be applied. Semiparametric transformation models arise quite naturally in survival analysis. Specifically, let (Z1, T1), (Z2, T2), . . . , (Zn, Tn) be independent and identically distributed with Z, a vector of covariates, having distribution H, and T real. We suppose ther...

Limits of normality of quantitative thoracic CT analysis

INTRODUCTION Although computed tomography (CT) is widely used to investigate different pathologies, quantitative data from normal populations are scarce. Reference values may be useful to estimate the anatomical or physiological changes induced by various diseases. METHODS We analyzed 100 helical CT scans taken for clinical purposes and referred as nonpathological by the radiologist. Profiles...

Testing for Normality of Censored Data

In order to make statistical inference, that is drawing conclusions from a sample to describe a population, it is crucial to know the correct distribution of the data. This paper focused on censored data from the normal distribution. The purpose of this paper was to answer whether we can test if data comes from a censored normal distribution. This by using normality tests and tests designed for...
